Introduction Membership Career Development Awards

MRS has a range of qualifications, vocational schemes, training courses, conferences and seminars to support research practitioners develop professionally throughout their career.

In addition, progression through the membership grades matches career experience signifying the achievement of advanced skills, knowledge and ability. The main professional grade of Full Member and its MMRS designation carry a guarantee of competence, which is recognised by employers, colleagues, clients and others inside and outside the market research community.

To support the achievement of Full Member status individuals can complete a recognisedqualification such as the MRS Diploma or an Accredited Masters Degree.

Alternatively, work-based vocational development routes to Full Membership are also available:

• The Professional Development Scheme (formerly the Graduate Development Scheme) is a partnership initiative in which employers work in conjunction with MRS to develop their new graduates or equivalent.
• The Intensive Professional Development Scheme is available to MRS Associate and Affiliate Members.
• The Fast Track Scheme is available to senior research practitioners who have a minimum of seven years' experience.
