The Association of Users of Research Agencies (AURA) was founded in the 1960s as a forum for the exchange of experience and points of view by a group of researchers in organisations commissioning market research. Its membership is drawn from a wide range of organisations - from large corporations, to small businesses, from FMCG to manufacturing and service industries. There are currently around 130 member companies. Membership is open to the most senior buyer in an organisation buying market research who should also be a member of the Market Research Society, ESOMAR, CIM, AQR or the SRA. It is not open to employees of market research agencies or consultants who work exclusively for agencies. The main aim of AURA is to represent the interests of market research buyers. Key objectives:
The General Insurance Market Research Association (GIMRA) is a special interest group within AURA. Further information on AURA, including membership information, is available from their website at www.aura.org.uk.
