B2B Research: Your Future - Extending the B2B Skills Set
Took place in May 2004 at Marriott St Pierre, Chepstow
Keynotes and training workshops
The aim of the annual BIG Conference is to fast forward to the future
and look at what future technology and developments might bring.
The Conference had two keynote speakers:
- Kate Pitts (Innovation Manager, Royal Mail) - 'The Future
of Research: will there be research in 2015?'
- Professor Malcolm McDonald (Emeritus Professor of Marketing,
Cranfield Business School) - 'Marketing past, present and future'.

The Conference also included three workshops for delegates to choose
between:
- 'Making it work on line', Pete Comley (Virtual Surveys)
- 'Technology in presentations and beyond', Dipen Mehta (TNS World
Group) - who will share his knowledge and top tips in terms of the
practical introduction of technological wizardry into our research
reporting
- 'How to get the best out of qualitative research - what's new and
what's good', Neil McPhee (Nuance Research)
Conference award winners
Best Paper: Dr David Smith, Incepta Marketing Intelligence for
the vast range of issues, concepts and thinking raised in his whistle-stop
multi-media tour of creativity in market research.
Best Newcomer: Francesca Brosan, OMOBONO, for her case study
on how the campaign to bring broadband to the East of England had successfully
overcome the resistance of the telecoms companies.
