The subject of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is playing an increasing role in many organisations’ strategic considerations.

In 2005, FMR Research Ltd was commissioned by the City of Edinburgh Council to carry out an investigation into the CSR practices of businesses in the area. The project became one of the UK’s largest empirical studies into the business community, with insights into the world of the ‘corporates’ and that of the SMEs.
