How is the PDS structured?In order to become a Full Member of MRS, individuals registered on the PDS must have a minimum of 3 years’ work experience in a research-related role. They also need to demonstrate their professional competence by completing a series of qualifications and/or development programmes which are assessed by market research experts. The PDS has been developed as a partnership between MRS and a range of market research organisations to provide support for individuals from the moment they enter the market research industry to the point at which they qualify for Full Membership. To become a partner within the PDS, research organisations undergo rigorous accreditation by MRS. All PDS Partner Organisations accredited in the scheme have shown that they provide:
As a result, PDS Partner Organisations have demonstrated a high level of commitment to the development of their research staff. Stages of the PDSDetailed below are the stages you complete within the PDS: Stage 1: In order to enter the PDS, you need to be registered by your employer. At this stage, you also register as a member of MRS and you begin to prepare for your first qualification. Stage 2: MRS Advanced Certificate in Market & Social Research Practice.
