Objective
This course enables you to:
- design, set up and run effective and enjoyable workshop sessions.
Learning outcomes
On completion, delegates should have a practical understanding of:
- the principles and ground rules which underpin effective workshops
- how to manage the roles and responsibilities of different participants
- the principles of workshop design and planning, including:
- setting pre-workshop tasks
- considering the range of knowledge and experience represented by delegates

- creating tasks which achieve the desired outcomes
- creating follow-up tasks and action plans
- how to facilitate effective interaction
- a range of tools and techniques for workshop activities

Mike Imms
Joanna Chrzanowska has worked as a qualitative researcher for 30 years and runs training courses for a range of organisations. She is the author of Interviewing Groups and Individuals in Qualitative Market Research published by Sage in 2002 (Eds Ereaut, Imms and Callingham).
Mike Imms is a Fellow of MRS who has worked in market research for over 20 years (clientside, in agencies and as a consultant). For the past five years he has specialised in training and runs a wide variety of courses covering both core research topics and general management skills.
